In 1971, after graduating from Yıldız Technical University with a degree in Civil Engineering, I joined my brothers, who were already playing key roles at Gülsan, our family-owned construction company.

Gülsan was founded by my father, Aziz Gül, in Elazığ in 1946 and relocated to Ankara in 1980. With nearly 80 years of experience, Gülsan has specialized in road, highway, and bridge construction. This long-standing legacy demonstrates our stability and reliability. We have constructed 1,000 km of roads and nearly 500 bridges and viaducts, showcasing our expertise and commitment to quality. In the early 2000s, we boldly ventured into international projects, a testament to our global capabilities.

Despite the risks involved in working in Afghanistan, we completed four projects in collaboration with Louise Berger-USAID, significantly contributing to the local infrastructure. We collaborated with local administrations and organizations such as the World Bank, the European Investment Bank, and the Islamic Development Bank in several countries, including Ukraine, South Sudan, Kazakhstan, Libya, Kenya, and Uganda.

Our goal was to leverage our expertise in investment and contracting. One example of our efforts is the aerated concrete plant in Ukraine, which embodies this strategy.

Additionally, we made significant investments in the energy sector by constructing and commissioning seven hydroelectric power plants. Currently, our installed capacity is 230 MW, but we have set a target to increase it to 500 MW. We are excited to announce that we are venturing into the promising field of solar energy, a move that holds great potential for our future. In 1990, Gülsan entered the tourism sector. We have two five-star hotels in our portfolio, one in Antalya and the other in Ankara.

Today, we are proud to utilize the knowledge and experience we have gained over the years. We draw strength from our past achievements, which reassure us of our capabilities.
